Prime Minister Hun Sen on August 28 identified the Kingdom's nine-millionth Covid-19 vaccinee, a 76-year-old woman named Prum Kuoy living in Mean commune's Tmor Samleang village of Tbong Khmum province's O'Reang-ou district.

"So far, Cambodia has vaccinated 90 per cent of the target [adult] population of 10 million ... and 69.47 per cent of the 12-17 age group of 1,966,931.

"In total, we have vaccinated around 65 per cent of the country's population of 16 million.

Ministry of Health spokeswoman Or Vandine, who is also head of the national Covid-19 vaccination committee, personally handed over Hun Sen's gift of 10 million riel ($2,500) to the nine-millionth vaccinee.
