Koh Kong to kick off jab drive in two districts on June 20

The Koh Kong provincial Department of Health on June 18 announced that coronavirus vaccinations would start on June 20 in the southwestern coastal province, for people aged 18 and older in Khemarak Phoumin city and Sre Ambel district.

In Khemarak Phoumin, the jabs will be administered by the provincial Red Cross branch and the Soon Noeng Center, both located in Stung Veng commune’s Stung Veng village of Smach Meanchey district.

In Sre Ambel, the shots will be available at three locations – Sre Ambel, Chi Khor Leu and Boeung Preav primary schools, all named after the commune they are located in.

“According to the plan, vaccinations will be completed in three days,” the department claimed, indicating that it would post any updates.

People in the two localities wishing to get the jab must present either an ID card, passport, birth certificate or residence book, it added.
