The Koh Kong Provincial Administration has instructed local authorities to determine the number of people in territories under their jurisdiction who have not been vaccinated against Covid-19 as the province's first-dose vaccination campaign is approaching an end.

Deputy provincial governor Tou Savuth made the call during a meeting with local authorities in Mondol Seima district on August 20.

"Check if any residents have not received the first dose so that the provincial vaccination sub-commission can arrange for them in order to wrap up the campaign,” Savuth said.

He also instructed authorities to maintain the enforcement of Covid-19 preventive measures, including administering rapid tests to all cargo truck drivers, preventing all illegal border crossing and reporting the arrivals of outsiders to their community to health officials in order for them to take Covid-19 tests.

Separately on August 20, the provincial administration also reopened the Yazaki factory in Koh Kong Special Economic Zone that was shut recently after many workers tested positive for Covid-19.
