Korea gives Cambodian children free surgery

Seven Cambodian children with heart disease were given free surgery through the 2011 Korea Medical Charity Program, the Korean Minister of Health and Welfare and the President of the Korean Health Industry Development Institute announced yesterday.

The charity completed its mission to provide 31 children, from eight countries across Asia, with free surgery at medical institutions in Korea. Five Cambodian girls and two boys, aged from three months to 14, underwent surgery in Seoul last month.
