Lockdown in capital and Takmao an example to follow, PM says

Prime Minister Hun Sen said the lockdown of Phnom Penh and adjacent Takmao town in Kandal province has proved effective in containing the Covid-19 community outbreak and a good example that should be followed by other provinces.

Hun Sen wrote his comments in the minute of a May 12 inter-ministerial meeting submitted to him by Minister of Health Mam Bun Heng on May 13.

In his letter attached with the minute and addressed to all municipal and provincial governors, Sam Heng advised the governors to continue implementing preventive health measures and follow those carried out by the Phnom Penh Municipal Administration if need be.
