A man was killed when the gasoline he was transporting caught fire after he crashed his motorbike at 10am on Thursday in Boeung Kak I commune in the capital’s Tuol Kork district.

Commune police chief Kim Sinath said: “The motorbike was travelling at high speed and it crashed, causing gasoline to spill which then triggered a big fire.”

Deputy Phnom Penh municipal traffic police chief Pen Khun told The Post on Thursday that his team has laid the body at the Teuk Thla pagoda.

Members of the victim’s family have been informed of the incident and are on their way to collect the body.
