The body of a 64-year-old man was found on Monday in a river in Svay Rieng province after he disappeared the previous night. Police concluded the man was drunk and drowned after falling in the river, said Svay Chrum district police chief Ngin Sophal. The man’s eyes and mouth had been cut, but foul play was ruled out by local police, he said. “We do not think he was killed. His eyes and mouth were cut by wood and scrub along the river as he fell.” He said the victim disappeared on Sunday night.
