A police officer from Sen Sok district’s Khmounh commune was arrested yesterday on suspicion of killing two people and injuring three others during a shooting in Sen Sok’s Phnom Penh Thmey commune. Chum Saray, the chief of Phnom Penh Thmey commune, said the suspect, Vong Saneath, opened fire on 47-year-old Long Hun and his family after arguing with the man for unknown reasons. Long Hun was killed at the scene, and his son, 17-year-old Long Lyheng, died on the way to Calmette Hospital, Chum Saray said. Three other family members – Long Hun’s 42-year-old wife, Uo Soy, and two cousins – were wounded, Chum Sary said.
