Storm injures seven in Siem Reap province

AT least seven people were injured and several houses damaged when heavy storms hit Siem Reap province’s Siem Reap district on Saturday night, officials said yesterday. District police chief Soun San said six people in the Nokor Thom commune were hurt. “Five of the people who were seriously injured were hospitalised,” he said. Chea Lao, chief of the Ampil commune in Siem Reap district, said a 19-year-old girl had been injured when a heavy storm caused her house to collapse. At least three other houses in the commune    were damaged in the storm.
