Sunrise Japan Hospital which offices medical services in Phnom Penh, is opening a satellite campus in Aeon Mall Sen Sok, in order to make it more accessible to everyday Cambodians.

The $1.5 million facility, known as “Sunrise Medical Centre Sen Sok”, will open to the public on April 28.

Chhay Hong, the clinical director of the centre, said the centre wil serve the community of northwest Phnom Penh.

“We will offer examinations, medical checkups, and provide effective treatment,” he added.

“Our mission is to ensure that people can access high-quality medical services just few steps from their homes,” he continued.

The campus was inaugurated on April 25 in a ceremony presided over by Ministry of Health secretary of state Or Vandine, and features AI technology to assist with patient examinations.

“The health ministry issues licences to many foreign hospitals, to improve access to quality medical facilities,” said Vandine.

“It is unfortunate that many Cambodians seek medical treatment abroad, as there as many services available here which are of the same quality as can be found in developed countries,” she added.

Japanese ambassador Atsushi Ueno congratulated the health centre for its inauguration, noting that it would become a reliable location for medical check-ups.
