Takeo logs 80 Covid cases in two days

The Takeo Provincial Administration on May 15 announced that it had detected another 30 Covid-19 cases, mostly garment workers and market vendors, just a day after it reported 50 cases in five districts in the province.

Most of the latest 30 cases were found in Prey Kabbas, Bati and Samrong districts, while a "few" were detected in Angkor Borei district. Only a single case was reported in Koh Andeth district.

On May 14, the province recorded 50 cases in five districts – Tram Kak, Angkor Borei, Prey Kabbas, Bati and Koh Andet.

The provincial administration called on those who had been in contact with the Covid-19 positive persons to have their specimens collected for testing and self-quarantine.
