The Ministry of Health said on Monday that no new Covid-19 cases were found over three days in row from April 4 to 6.

Meantime, another three patients have recovered after having tested negative. and been discharged from hospital.

This brings the tally of those who recovered to 53. Another 61 patients are still under medical care, while the total number of infections in Cambodia since January remains at 114.

The latest three who recovered are Malaysian men aged 39, 26 and 40. They were tested twice with negative results and discharged from the Kampong Cham provincial hospital.

They had visited Cambodia on an Islamic religious mission and were based in Kampong Cham’s Kang Meas district.

Ministry spokesperson Or Vandine told The Post that even though no further cases were recorded, it is critical that the authorities and the public remain vigilant.

She said Covid-19 transmissions among the local populace was still a serious threat.

“Please continue to regularly follow the ministry’s advice, which is most important. When there is no further positive cases, it does not mean that there is no infection or that we are careless,” she said.
