The Khmer HIV/AIDS NGO Alliance (KHANA) on Tuesday announced the launch of a five-year US-funded project aimed at improve health and quality of life for people affected by HIV/AIDS. The Sustainable Action against HIV and AIDS in Communities (SAHACOM) project is backed by funding of US$13.4 million from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). “The United States looks forward to continuing our support for community initiatives like these,” US Ambassador Carol Rodley said.
