US man dead after apartment leap

A 40-year-old American man died on Monday in Daun Penh district after jumping from his third-storey rental apartment, Phsar Chas commune police Chief Honh Sophal said, adding that police had not determined a motive for the apparent suicide. US embassy officials removed the man’s body from a crowded Street 118, and a police officer at the scene who asked not to be named said it would be taken to Calmette Hospital.
