A haul of wild snakes weighing 20 kilogrammes was confiscated by police in Prey Svay commune in Battambang province’s Mong Russei district on Monday evening. The snakes, police said, were found inside a rice sack belonging to a 37-year-old Vietnamese man. Roh Saroth, chief of Mong Russey district forestry administration, said that the snakes had been passed onto NGO Wildlife Alliance while the man was sent to court.
