THAILAND’S Yellow Shirts have postponed a mass protest designed to thwart parliamentary approval of memos that would advance longtime negotiations over the disputed border around Preah Vihear temple, the Bangkok Post reported over the weekend. Major-General Chamlong Srimuang, co-head of the Yellow Shirts, said the rally’s scheduled date, December 11, fell too near to December 5, the Thai King’s birthday. The protest has been rescheduled to January 25.
