All’s fair in love and Poipet sword-fighting

Two university students took the erstwhile field of honour on Sunday after both wanted the same girl to be their Valentine.

The wooers pulled out “samurai swords” and jousted astride their motos through the streets of Poipet.

A third assailant came to the aid of his friend on another moto but crashed into the combatants, causing all three to sustain serious injuries.

Police brought the trio to the hospital and warned future suitors to avoid the dangers of samurai swords. DEUM AMPIL
