All out of gas, woman’s moto stolen, recovered

A 24-year-old man in Phnom Penh’s Chamkarmon district found on Wednesday that stealing an empty moto complicates matters considerably.

Police said the moto’s owner was on her way to take part in Water Festival celebrations when her moto ran out of gas.

As she was walking it down the street, the man appeared, allegedly brandishing a gun and demanding the moto.

The woman complied and the suspect tried to flee, but nearby police saw what transpired, and found it all too easy to catch the bike-pushing bandit. KOH SANTEPHEAP
