Bullet deposited in leg after cash withdrawal

A woman was shot on Saturday in Banteay Meanchey’s Poipet district while carrying cash back to her home.

Police said the 32-year-old victim had exchanged nearly $200 at the market and was taking it back home when a gang of thieves started following her.

Noticing the group was hot on her tail, the women sped up but was shot in the leg and toppled from her moto.

The gang ran off with the cash and the woman was rushed to hospital. Police are still searching for the suspects. KAMPUCHEA THMEY
