Cops arrive moments after thief beats victim

Kampot town cops nabbed a violent thief on Saturday, after he stole a motorbike and gave the owner of the bike a beating.

Police said the owner had left the bike outside his house with the key in the ignition by mistake.

When the thief took the opportunity to make off with it, the man reportedly gave chase, for which the thief ended up handing him a pasting.

While police were not able to intervene before the man was seriously injured, they were able to capture the assailant and send him to court.
