Cops put local phone thief’s plans on hold

One woman’s phone call was rudely interrupted by a mugger in Phnom Penh’s Chbar Ampov district on Monday.

The unsuspecting lady was talking on the phone near her house, tempting a nearby thief to strike her, then run off with the mobile phone.

After receiving a complaint, police rushed to the scene, arresting the suspect and recovering the device.

The cell was returned to its rightful owner while the robber sits in a cell of his own.
