Bystanders meted out some divine intervention after a man snatched the phone of a Chinese tourist at Phnom Penh’s Wat Ounalom on Sunday.

Police said the 27-year-old had snagged the new iPhone and was trying to make good his escape when a crowd of people gave chase, ultimately apprehending the man.

Police arrived on the scene and collected the suspect, whom they sent to court. The phone was returned to its rightful owner.
