Cursed couple’s close call with 2nd robbery

A close shave was had by one Phnom Penh couple on Tuesday in the second attempted robbery they endured in as many months.

A 29-year-old construction site manager was driving home with his girlfriend, 19, in the capital’s Por Sen Chey district when six men chased them on motos with knives drawn.

One of the men stabbed the girlfriend in the back, but the pair managed to speed away from the attackers and made it to a clinic.

The boyfriend was shot in the waist and had his moto stolen during a robbery just last month. KOH SANTEPHEAP
