A 30-year-old man became the victim of his own heroism on Tuesday after he was seriously injured for trying to break up a fight.

Police said that four men were mercilessly attacking each other with rocks and knives, causing panic in the neighbourhood.

The victim saw what was happening and tried to break it up, but instead was attacked, taking a slash to the back.
