Door of opportunity opens, closes for thief

Always keep your car door locked — that’s what one man in Banteay Meanchey’s Poipet district learned the hard way on Sunday.

The victim brought his car home and left the car door open as he went inside his house. The suspect quickly jumped in the car, taking more than $100 carelessly left inside.

He ran away from the scene but the victim spotted him and called for help. Residents helped chase the man and he was soon arrested by police. DEUM AMPIL
