Drunk driver trashes Audi, waits for arrest

A drunk driver smashed through six barricades on Street 271 in the capital yesterday. Police said the man was trying to turn his Audi at speed when he lost control.

Though the front end of the car was smashed in and one tyre blown out, the driver was not injured.

Tuol Kork police arrived on scene shortly and arrested the suspect, who did not attempt to flee.

The car was impounded and a settlement was reached eventually, according to police.
