Female thief’s dreams of big score land with thud

A woman with dollar signs in her eyes jumped out of a first-floor balcony in Phnom Penh’s well-heeled Boueng Keng Kang district on Sunday, but despite her theatrical escape attempt, was caught anyway.

The woman had followed her victim home from the bank and snuck into her house to pinch her handbag.

The thief took too long, however, and was spotted by the victim as she emerged from the bathroom and screamed for help. In a panic, the robber leapt from the balcony, but was quickly caught by neighbours and sent to hospital. KAMPUCHEA THMEY
