Fidgety fellow’s blades confiscated by PP police

A 21-year-old man from Prey Veng province was arrested on Monday in Phnom Penh after his shifty behaviour at a traffic stop piqued the curiosity of Teuk Thla commune cops.

The police were routinely inspecting traffic and came across the nervous traveller. A search turned up two knives.

The luckless man – now on his way to court – said he did not know that owning such weapons was illegal, adding that they were for self-defence.
