Cops were left speculating whether a high school student was late to turn in an assignment when he clipped an elderly pedestrian then fled the scene on Tuesday.
They say the pupil was speeding through Stung Treng province’s Sesan district when he ran into the victim crossing the road.
His scooter went down, but he continued on foot so authorities who arrived on the scene impounded it after sending the injured woman off to hospital.
