Karaoke party goes from swinging to axe-swinging

The brother of a Svay Rieng town woman was allegedly attacked by his brother-in-law with an axe on Sunday.

The woman’s loutish husband, 35, was drinking with his friends and singing karaoke next to his home when his wife asked him to be quiet.

An argument ensued and her husband became violent, but was stopped by the brother.

This infuriated the husband, who grabbed an axe and allegedly hacked the man in his arm before fleeing. He was later arrested. Koh Santepheap
