Kingdom’s police nab Laotian drug runner

A luckless Laotian was arrested in Thala Barivat district for drug trafficking, authorities said yesterday.

Cambodian police, operating on a tip off from their Laotian counterparts, lured the 40-year-old farmer across the border with the promise of a sweet deal.

The unsuspecting farmer took the Kingdom’s finest up on their offer, bringing a kilo of meth with him from his native Bolikhamxay province.

He was immediately arrested, and was questioned yesterday.
