Three alleged robbers, aged 18 to 21, known for terrorising villagers at night while wielding machetes, were picked up Friday morning in the capital’s Sen Sok district.
Patrolling police, responding to a request by locals, scoped out the situation and witnessed the suspects waiting to rob unsuspecting villagers travelling on a road.
The group tried to flee on motorbikes but were soon caught.
Police confiscated two machetes hidden in their bikes, and sent the men to court.
