A crafty Poipet man decided that he needed to dramatically embellish a story about how he lost his motorbike on Sunday night in order to get the attention of local police.

He arrived at the station complaining that he had been robbed at knifepoint while riding.

But when police went to investigate, they discovered he had lied and the bike had actually been stolen from outside his home while he was sleeping.

He admitted to the fib and said he just wanted to make the case “stronger”. DEUM AMPIL
