Mob chops axe-wielding burglar down to size

An axe-wielding burglar got a taste of mob justice in Phnom Penh’s Meanchey district on Tuesday night after he was discovered trying to use his chopper to break into a local residence.

When the homeowner discovered him and called for help, the wannabe intruder was set upon and beaten badly by neighbours, before police arrived to save him from the horde.

The man was treated in hospital before being taken in for questioning.
