A Phnom Penh mob proved too quick to leap into action on Monday evening, after a local character was mistaken for a bicycle thief.

The bicycle’s owner noticed someone moving the bike and called out for help.

The assembled mob decided to beat first, ask questions later, until they realised he was not a criminal mastermind, just a local character known to be a little slow, and so police on the scene let him go.
