Four monks had their plans for a surreptitious night on the town blown by police on Sunday evening in Prey Veng’s Preah Sdech district.

Police spotted the foursome dressed in their civilian garb lurking outside a pagoda, so decided to question them.

Their answers proved unsatisfactory, so police took them to the station, where the undercover brothers spilled the beans on their party plans and monastic identities.

Police are now contacting the pagoda chief.
