Moto thief motionless as mob swiftly mobilises

A motorbike thief was welcomed to the neighbourhood in Phnom Penh’s Kakab commune with fists and feet after trying to lift a local’s ride yesterday.

The robber managed to get his hands on the keys of a parked moto, not realising the vigilant owner had also locked the bike’s front wheel.

The moto stood stock still while the intended victim shouted for help. Happy to oblige, his neighbours beat the would-be thief into submission until police arrived to take him away.
