No honour among thieves as scammer scammed

A man enlisted his friend to help him scam his boss, pawning his truck, only to be scammed himself.

Hoping to make a quick buck, the two men took the truck to a pawn shop in the capital’s Daun Penh district on Friday.

The pawnbroker offered them $3,000, but said he could pay only part of the money on the spot.

When police traced the truck’s disappearance to the two men, the pawnbroker had already hit the road with his new wheels. Just who can you trust these days? NOKORWAT
