Number’s up for Kandal pair’s illegal lottery

It was not a lucky day for a pair of clothes vendors in Kandal’s Takhmao town on Sunday, after they were busted for running an illegal lottery.

The women, aged 51 and 27, had reportedly run the racket for years, and had already been warned not to by cops once before, when their operation was taken down.

Police confiscated 20 books of lottery tickets, two calculators, about $70 cash, and other lottery-related items. CEN
