At NYE disco, gangsters throw fists, not shapes

Where there’s dancing, there are gangsters, and New Year’s Eve was no exception. According to police, a group had gathered to ring in the new year in Prey Veng’s Peam Chor district when one dancer stepped on another’s foot.

The man with the scuffed sneaker demanded an apology, but was rebuffed. Sticking to the script, the man and his fellow gangsters attacked the offending two-stepper and a friend, leaving both seriously injured. The gang fled the scene, but police say they have already identified the suspects. DEUM AMPIL
