A 32-year-old Interior Ministry police officer was arrested for shooting a woman in Phnom Penh’s Chamkarmon district on Saturday.

Police said the officer was stuck in a traffic jam on his motorbike while drunk when he angrily pulled out his gun and fired at a car, hitting a woman in the neck.

Police arrested the officer and are preparing to send him to court. The woman was hospitalised. DEUM AMPIL
