Partier slashed with sword for dissing mum

Drink does funny things to people. For a group of nine inebriated guys on their way home from a night out clubbing in Banteay Meanchey’s Sisophon town on Tuesday night, it led them to grab a samurai sword and start attacking each other.

Luckily, passers-by called police to intervene, but not before one of the revellers had been seriously injured on the arm.

Arrested by police, the men said they were angry with the victim for cursing one of their mothers.
