Phone thief ditches motorbike in escape

A capital thief gained a phone but lost a motorbike in the process during a botched robbery in Tuol Kork district. Police say a 19-year-old was riding on the back of her boyfriend’s scooter yesterday when a man pulled close and swiped the iPhone 7 out of her hand.

The couple chased him while shouting for help. Flustered, the man clipped a car and wiped out, but hopped onto the bike of his trailing accomplice. With no other evidence, police impounded the abandoned moped to aid in their search.
