A moto thief using poison to silence man’s best friend, a sadly common tactic, left a gruesome scene for a pet owner yesterday morning in Preah Vihear province’s Sra Em town.

The man told police that he emerged from his home in the early hours to find not only his gate open and motorbike gone, but all five of his dogs lying dead along with the family cat. Police are now on the lookout for the thief.
