Capital authorities in Por Sen Chey district played the role of marriage counsellors on Saturday when they were called to Choam Chao commune to see about a man who was stabbed by his wife for staying out too late drinking.
Yelling out across the road to her husband telling him to leave his buddies and come home, the woman – two months pregnant – came at him with a blade when he finally obeyed, then screamed loudly when he ran away wounded.
Thinking the roles were reversed, neighbours alerted cops who came and questioned the newlyweds. After getting the full story they made the partners promise to be more peaceable in the future.
