Two robbers nixed one Kampong Speu mother’s plan for a new garden fence on Friday after their raid on her grocery shop netted her nest-egg.

The victim was washing laundry at the back of her house and had left her teenage daughter to mind the shop when the scoundrels struck.

One threatened the teenager into silence, while his accomplice made off with the dough, which the victim told police the money had been intended to build a new fence.
