Two juvenile bag-snatchers are now in Phnom Penh police custody after an abortive attempt to steal a foreigner’s bag on Street 75 on Sunday.

Panicked by their victim’s pleas for assistance, the pair attempted to flee by moto after their successful snatching but instead collided with a car.

With the purloiners lying prostrate on the pavement they were easily apprehended by passersby before police arrived to arrest them.
