Wooden vessels usually float, but a vehicle loaded with timber didn’t do so well after veering into a Svay Rieng province pond yesterday.

Apparently the driver fell asleep at the wheel then swerved into the body of water.

Witnesses say the suspect escaped his soggy SUV and was soon picked up by friends.

Police arrived and impounded the wreck in order to investigate whether the rosewood cargo was legal.
