A 20-year-old lout seriously injured his girlfriend during an argument in Phnom Penh’s Chamkarmon district in the wee hours of Wednesday morning.

The couple had been visiting Koh Pich and were on their way home when an argument broke out.

They stopped in a quiet area to hash it out, but the boyfriend attacked the young woman with a wooden stick before fleeing.

She was left unconscious and was later hospitalised. Police are looking for the suspect. NOKORWAT
