Phnom Penh Crown head coach Sam Schweingruber flies to Ho Chi Minh City today to attend the Sport for Development Conference, hosted by international charity organisation ONE GOAL which aims to address the issue of child malnutrition in Asia through the power of football.
Schweingruber, a 35-year-old Swiss native who founded Battambang-based NGO SALT Academy, will be a guest speaker on the development of girls football.
He also spoke on the subject at the Soccerex Asian Forum in Jordan last week.
The SALT Academy is in the running for the AFC Dream Asia Award, which will be presented at tonight’s event.
